Charges for additional Services

The kindergarten operates two sessions a day during term time. The morning session begins at 8.45am and concludes at 11.45am. The afternoon session begins at 12.15pm and concludes at 3.15pm. These sessions are included in any funded entitlement.

The kindergarten operates a lunch club outside funded hours between 11.45am and 12.15pm. This club allows your child to attend kindergarten for an uninterrupted day. The cost of the club covers the teachers time only and does not include food. Attendance is voluntary. Please enquire at the office for the cost of this service.

The kindergarten also operates a breakfast club outside funded hours between 8.00am and 8.45am at an additional charge for parents requiring a earlier start. This includes a light breakfast. Please enquire at the office for the cost of this service.

The kindergarten provides one snack each session in the morning and afternoon. All children attending the kindergarten are offered the same snack. The cost of the snack is voluntary for children attending that session. Parents may provide their own snack, but teachers are unable to administer snack provided from home and to avoid disruption to the class parents attending must provide snack in a separate area to the rest of the class. Please enquire at the office for the cost of this service.

Non-food consumables (e.g. nappies, wipes, suncream, etc.) must be provided for by the parents. In the case of shortages, the kindergarten will endeavor to provide what is required but reserves the right to make an additional charge if necessary.

Extra activities such as trips, forest school, etc. Are voluntary and will be agreed with parents in advance. The cost of these trips will be clearly highlighted and parents agreement to both trip and cost will be sought in advance of the trip.

Funded Hours

The latest information on the number of funded hours is available from the office. These hours are provided free of charge to the parent. These hours are included only in the two sessions provided by the kindergarten during the day. The number of sessions attended by the child is flexible and must be agreed with the office in advance of the child’s attendance.

Voluntary Nature of Charges

Charges for snack and extra curriculum activities are voluntary and Parents can opt out without losing access to their child’s funded place. However if e.g. .nappies and wet wipes and other essentials are not provided by the parents the kindergarten will claim for these costs.
